Been a while since we’ve written…

Hello folks- this is the Assistant Farmer posting.

Bitey has returned and has friends, but fortunately they are occupying the front yard (personally I do not think there is anything “fortunate” regarding this situation- we’ve been rather stressed out about it). I do wonder if the container garden is attracting them…

Things are definitely perking up in the garden. The tomatoes are now flowering, the eggplant and peppers are getting ready to flower also. All are looking very good right now.

The sad news is that we lost all 3 grapefruit. I was very upset when we lost the last (and largest one). At least the lemon bush still has lots of fruit and has even flowered again (yummy smelling flowers).

We did have to re-arrange everything to the other side of the deck due to the shade from the leaves. We’ll see how things start to grow now that we finally moved things around.

Grapefruit.

The Grapefruit are starting to grow a bit. We had so many flowers and small fruits that started, but only three fruits are growing right now. Most of them fell off after flowering. I suspect (and hope) that’s normal. I’ve added some photos.
