Special visitor…

Well, the peas are ready to blossom I think. I’ve counted about 10 little growths that look like a flower is going to pop out of any day. I also planted some tomatoes this weekend. I have three tomatoes in the box and two others in pots. The peas have really been growing lately. Some of the larger ones are growing close to an inch or two a day. It’s starting to get warm in Georgia so I hope that they flower and have pea pods before it gets too hot.

We also went out and bought some Mint and a small garden gnome thingy. We planted the mint and used some to make the Mint Julep next to our new crop guardians.

Also, we had a little visitor check out our container garden this weekend. A small Garter snake (at least that’s what I think it is) hung around our deck for a bit on Saturday. I call him Bitey. The dog was outside when I first spotted him and ran right over too him. Luckily he’s a wimp and ran away before getting bit. I suspect he just came around for the day to look for bugs. Thankfully, I didn’t seem him at all on Sunday. I know snakes are good for gardens, but I’m not a big fan.
